Xtend Gets Up to $15M Defense Contract With a European NATO Member

Xtend notched a multi-year contract valued at up to $15 million with the ministry of defense of a European member nation of the North Atlantic Treaty Organization.

Real estate development and construction company JFB Construction Holdings, which plans to acquire Xtend in a deal expected to close on Sept. 8, said the contract secures about $4.5 million for the first year. The companies did not disclose the European NATO member involved in the contract.

The contract comes as NATO members look for alternatives to Chinese-made commercial drone systems, the companies said.

"Across NATO and allied markets, governments are reassessing the platforms they depend on and placing greater emphasis on trusted technology, secure supply chains and operationally proven systems," Xtend's Chief Executive Aviv Shapira said. "We see the same forces increasingly shaping the U.S. market, creating a significant opportunity for trusted alternatives."

Xtend provides software, drones and robotics solutions that operate across defense, law enforcement and private security missions.
